Sushi Rice: Fresh, Authentic Sushi with Gluten-Free & Vegan Options in Chilliwack

Sushi rice is a welcome addition to this neck of the woods. Decor and light music, paired with presentation and flavor gives me confidence that this restaurant is here to stay. Those of us that enjoy sushi know that they've got some serious competition with a nearby restaurant (Gon Sushi) that has held the title of no. 1 sushi place in the area. Sushi Rice is a serious contender. Come check it out. You won't be disappointed.

My friend and I went to the newly opened Japanese restaurant.the orange color sign stimulates the appetite and I love interior which is very neat .the menu was very diverse, and in particular, there was a gluten-free and vegan menu, which differentiated it from other Japanese restaurants. The waitress was also kind and explained the menu, and all the food we ordered was very fresh and delicious. As someone who loves avocados, I was able to fully enjoy that rich, savory flavor. All the food we ordered was touching because it tasted like my mom made it. ​It's a very positive review, suggesting the food had a comforting, homemade quality.The atmosphere was nice, the taste was great, and the service was good, so I've decided this is a life-list Japanese restaurant (meaning one of the best you'll ever go to). Highly recommended!

All of the food is fresh and made with care—no dried out rice or cold tempura here! Great service, fresh flavours. So happy to have a quality sushi place in the area. A lot of gluten free options, if that’s your thing.

I visited this restaurant with my family today, and it was such a great experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very kind and attentive. They took the time to explain each dish, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The sushi was beautifully prepared — the rice was just right and every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh. You can really tell the chef puts care and passion into every piece. I also appreciated how thoughtful they were about allergies. One of my family members has a soy allergy, and the staff handled it carefully so we could all enjoy the meal comfortably. Overall, everything from the food to the service was perfect. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to others!

So excited that this sushi place opened up in Promontory! Ordered the Promontory roll, Amazing roll, and Philadelphia roll, which were all tasty. Good ingredients and the tobiko here was the crunchiest I've ever eaten. Their salad dressing was also fresh and delish! Thoughtful staff, nice playlist and spacious booths. Will have to come back again :) EDIT: Literally two days later and I was back at this restaurant again and somehow the food became even better!! I highly recommend the Golden Bridge roll which is topped with crispy potato chips. I was hesitant to try this on sushi, but it turned out to be my favorite. Love the texture and taste.

The rice actually has flavor they add more sesame seeds which makes it pop. fresh prawn in the dynamite last 2 times which i think is a must makes the roll delicious. Raw fish here is top notch. The toro is actually toro which other places have very low quality raw fish, not this place. The raw selection and quality is prime. Love this place really happy with the service as well. I literally eat sushi from vancouver all the way to chilliwack at least once a week. This place definitely hits 2nd place in chilliwack.
